Mr. Pasquith’s key career accomplishments include: establishing sources of financing, negotiating sales of companies to maximize return to stakeholders, creating reliable 13-week rolling cash forecasts, upgrading financial reporting facilities, managing liquidity in distressed environments, preparing integrated operating budgets/models, creating a subsidiary performance evaluation program to measure return on capital, and installing new manufacturing business systems to convert companies to single platforms.
At Carl Marks Advisors, Mr. Pasquith has had direct, hands-on experience making financial and operational improvements for numerous companies across a wide variety of industries. Prior to joining CMA, he was CFO of Sofa Express, Inc., a retail furniture chain with 70 stores in 9 states and annual revenues of $230 million. There, Mr. Pasquith managed all accounting, human resources, credit, information systems, and facilities maintenance functions. He was directly involved in all strategic planning and decisions regarding the direction of the business He came to Sofa Express from its parent company, Klaussner Corporation, where he served as Corporate Treasurer. Klaussner was a furniture manufacturer and retailer with 5,000 employees and revenues of $750 million. Earlier, Mr. Pasquith had been Corporate Controller of Technimark, a rapidly growing plastics injection molding firm. He began his career with Ernst & Young, where he became an Audit Manager.
Mr. Pasquith holds a BS in Accounting from Wake Forest University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of North Carolina.
