Mel Henson has over 25 years of experience providing financial and operational advisory services and as an interim senior executive for middle market companies. He has an extensive background managing financial functions, value creation, crisis/interim management, business assessment, process improvement, acquisitions, divestitures, corporate integration, debt issuance, public offerings, and labor negotiations.
Before rejoining Carl Marks Advisors, Mr. Henson was CFO of American Leather Holdings, a $370 million luxury furniture manufacturer. He oversaw all cash management practices, implemented streamlined reporting and improved projections, and integrated four acquisitions and business process consolidations there. Previously, Mr. Henson had been a Managing Director with Carl Marks Advisors, serving as interim CFO and in other financial leadership positions with various companies across a wide range of industries. Prior to that, he served in several executive positions in the printing, paper, and manufacturing industries.
Mr. Henson holds a BS in Business Administration with a major in accounting, from the University of Arkansas.
