Mr. Dowden brings over 25 years of leadership experience in strategic sourcing, business performance, and end-to-end supply chain operations. He has a proven track record of optimizing costs, improving working capital, and building high-performing teams across manufacturing, healthcare, distribution, and nonprofit sectors. Mr. Dowden is effective in both private equity and corporate environments, with deep expertise in operational turnarounds, M&A integration, and global sourcing.
Before joining Carl Marks Advisors, Mr. Dowden was a founding partner of a boutique consultancy focused on enhancing procurement and supply chain performance for mid-market and PE-backed companies. He has delivered measurable impact across multiple industries through interim leadership roles, sourcing initiatives, and large-scale transformation programs.
His prior experience includes leadership positions in procurement for a PE-backed healthcare technology company, supply chain operations for a privately held building materials firm, and sourcing and supplier management within a pharmacy benefits management organization.
Mr. Dowden earned a BS in Accounting from Indiana University and is certified as a Continuous Improvement Practitioner.
