New York, July 24, 2019 – Carl Marks Advisors, a leading investment bank providing financial and operational advisory services to middle market companies, today announced two strategic hires to support an expanding client roster in healthcare, retail, higher education and family business.

Anchoring the team additions is Daniel Ireland, who has joined as a managing director to focus on restructuring and corporate finance. Ireland has held positions of increasing responsibility throughout a 13-year career spanning two continents. He began in his native England in audit and corporate recovery at BDO and most recently served as a managing director at FTI Consulting in both New York and London. Ireland holds a B.A. in Economics and Finance from the University of Manchester (UK) and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Additionally, Paul Huettner has been hired as Vice President. Huettner brings nearly a decade of distressed debt financial advisory experience, most recently as an associate at Chilmark Partners. There, he assisted in the development of strategic options, conducted cash flow analysis, and did equity research. He graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science and is a CFA charter holder.
