Mr. Accordino has significant expertise in turnarounds, restructurings, bankruptcy reorganizations, profit improvement, strategic planning and financial functions. His extensive track record includes transforming companies into profitable entities, with the ability to quickly develop and execute plans that strengthen competitive position, cash flows and margins. At Carl Marks Advisors, Mr. Accordino is responsible for providing turnaround and restructuring guidance, as well as acting in interim executive roles.

Mr. Accordino’s key career accomplishments include: establishing sources of financing, negotiating sales of companies to maximize return to stakeholders, creating reliable 13-week rolling cash forecasts, upgrading financial reporting facilities, managing liquidity in distressed environments, preparing integrated operating budgets/models, negotiating composition agreement for repayment of unsecured debt, and installing new manufacturing business systems to convert companies to single platforms.

Prior to joining Carl Marks, Mr. Accordino was Vice President of Information Systems at New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority. In this capacity, Mr. Accordino was responsible for the operation of three data centers, maintenance of all operating systems and development of all new systems in support of rail and bus operations.

Subsequent to his tenure at the MTA, Mr. Accordino was affiliated with a major computer manufacturer/reseller in a number a management positions.

Mr. Accordino holds BA in Business Administration from Bernard Baruch College and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association.
