Expected and may be heavy depending on the engagement


Looking for a motivated self-starter who enjoys solving complex financial and operational business issues.  As an Associate, you will be a key team member who is expected to have significant responsibility on engagements and work closely with senior professionals in all aspects of an engagement.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop integrated financial modeling/projections,13-week cash flow budgets, and other key analytics to understand financial performance, liquidity needs and leverage, often in connection with operational and/or financial restructurings
  • Drafting reports, memoranda & presentations (EXCEL, Power Point, Word)
  • Analyze and assess financial performance of clients and identify areas to drive financial performance
  • Creating quality work product in support of senior staff, often on-site at client locations
  • Developing and preparing pitch books and marketing materials
  • Perform research on companies and industries to assist in the development and critique of client business plans, as well as to create proposals for potential new clients
  • Gather and present information on industries, companies, and competitive environments
    • Interact with clients, capital providers, attorneys and others as required
    • Respond in a timely manner to requests for data, research, analyses, etc. as needed


Technical Skills
  • Strong accounting and financial modeling skills, including integrated model (IS/BS/SCF/Debt)
  • Ability to efficiently manipulate/distill large amounts of data
  • Solid understanding of key financial analyses (ratios, bridges, sensitivity analyses, etc.)
  • Strong written and oral communications skills, ability to prepare effective presentation materials
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proven understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Soft Skills
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a lean-team, results-based, interactive environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills in order to successfully interact with all levels of constituents and stakeholders
  • Comfortable organizing, synthesizing, and presenting data to team members and/or clients
  • Comfortable in challenging and turbulent client situations
  • Ability to work under deadlines, prioritize and multi-task
  • Appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Proven exemplary work ethic and ability to complete tasks with limited supervision
Work Experience
  • 2+ years’ work experience in accounting, corporate finance, restructuring advisory or management consulting. Ideal candidate will have turnaround experience from prior employment
  • BA or BS in accounting or finance
  • Working toward or already have professional designations, e.g., CPA/CFA
  • Additional business experiences a plus
  • No relocation provided. Local candidates with direct experience will be given preference
